last I heard, he said he was putting it in congress's hands to come up with a solution. DACA was apparently only meant to be a temporary solution (apparently obama's words) and now its up to congress to make a permanent one.

"Legal DACA immigrants" isn't a thing for so many reasons, not the least of which being that DACA stands for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals meaning that, even within the program, deportation was always on the table (although the theory was that legislation would be introduced to make some of them citizens). More importantly, the program ONLY deals with illegal immigrants so it's not "legal DACA immigrants" because DACA didn't allow them to come into the US legally, it just deferred action on their deportation.

I certainly hope so. Pardoning the crimes of 800,000 criminals sets a very bad precedent.
