As Americans it is our birthright to own any guns we want. It is protected by our constitution and it's what the founding fathers would've wanted.

This is not true. We'd be much better off if it was, though.

I don't want, nor need, any guns in my life. I'm not at war. I don't hunt. I defend my home fine without shooting at anyone. Accidents happen. There are two children in my home. That's plenty.

It's dumb, I don't want one I don't see the fun in anything it has to offer, people into guns creep me out. I'd also probably shoot myself

Not in US anymore but I've owned them in the past for less than decent reasons, nowadays I own none and am anti-gun for civilians.

If you are anti-gun then you are anti-american.

All this, plus I really don't like being in close proximity to loud noises. Even the sound of a balloon popping in my general vicinity scares the living daylights out of me, so a gunshot from so close would probably make me faint from shock.

I own two, and in the future plan to buy a few more.

However, I also respect the choice of those who don't want to own any, and generally don't look down on them for it.

They are useless. People buy guns because its almost part of their culture and identity. And to be honest, guns are barely used. 330 Million guns. Sure every once in a while youll hear stories where guns actually saved someone. but its rare. What good is a gun if it just sits there?

What good are fire extinguishers in hallways of apartment complexes, or smaller, personal fire extinguishers provided by some rental communities sitting under people's sink? Are most people ever actually going to have to use one? I haven't. Never used a fire extinguisher in my entire life.

What good are AED defibrillators hanging on the wall in some workplaces? How often do they actually get used?

People have a right to protect themselves, especially in areas where criminal activity is heightened. It's also a wise tool to have when living in areas poor police response times. Or, in areas out the country where it could literally take over an hour for anyone to get to you.
