Those four parties governed Sweden 2006-2014 and the result of their policies were a large deficit, increased national debt, weakened social safety nets and a weakened military. But hey, at least the richest members of society got lower taxes!

After 3 years of Socialdemocratic rule we have a substantial surplus, the national debt has shrunk from 34% to 24% of GDP, unemployment is down (200 000 more jobs exist in Sweden now compared to 2014), many social safety nets have been restored and military spending has been raised. The SocDems actually did this without removing the salary tax cuts of the Right.

Now the Right all propose similar policies to when they governed in their shadow budgets. Will they never learn?

The traditional Right are the Conservatives, Christian Democrats, Liberals and Neoliberals.

The far-right nationalist Sverigedemokraterna and the far-left Vnsterpartiet are also opposition parties.

The Government consist of the Socialdemocrats and their coalition partner the Green party.

The Government refer to the Prime-minister's administration. What Americans call the Government is what we call the State.
