Got this from a thread on GAF:

- Shoestring budget. Like half of the budget for SFV's DLC plans.
- Re-use of old assets. That concerns mostly the Capcom side.
- Management didn't care until making fun of Chun Li became a meme. That's why that got changed.
- The first round if DLC characters has been finished months ago. They were just cut from the game.

Probably a surprise to no one, but this exposes Capcom as complete scumbags. How the hell can you fuck up SFV in a lot of ways, then proceed to say "we'll give one of our best selling franchises even less of a budget and give even less of a damn."

It's mind boggling how stupid they can be. I will try to defend Capcom at times, but this, plus the treatment of their old IPs like Mega Man, it's damn hard to defend them.

There is no way in hell that I'm buying the DLC characters after that.

The best thing about that video is that he pretty clearly said that fan outrage on social media made it's way to the higher ups and even forced them to make some changes. So I feel like thats definitely something that people should be doing more, its just a shame that fighting game fans are such sheep and will continue to let Capcom do this to them for the rest of eternity.

But even that is kinda dumb. It's like they didn't care at all, then they heard the backlash and said "I guess we shouldn't half ass everything."

But yeah, it was something not completely withheld I guess. Still pretty shitty.

Nah I definitely agree with you, but I guess at the very least it shows that fans can be heard if they band together.
