I'm an anti-gun moderate but nothing bothers me more than a few people who think if they Tweet hard enough it'll do everything on its own

Guns are romanticized to a ridiculous degree in this country, which is part of why our society is so flippant about them and why people treat them like toys. There is no easy solution, it's only going to change when our culture does.

While I concur I'm particularly skeptical about any of these gun control proposals put up because they all seem like short-term cathartic solutions that are designed to mimic European countries with similar laws that still run into issues with non-gun violence.

I don't think I've ever seen someone push the issue further than "all guns need to go now". Pfft, the UK is extremely anal about guns and yet there's still quite a few among private citizens for recreational use, go figure

Yarts were known to kill family members
Kids could choke on pretty much every toy
and don't get me started on nerf guns
