cats suck, ok?

we're taking care of my mom's cats right now, and i fucking despise the smell of them. i swear i can tell if a house is a cat house by the smell every time i walk inside. it doesn't matter how much they clean, it smells like cat, ok?

i have to clean their litter and give one of them heart meds. the litter isn't so bad, except for the putrid smell. giving the one his heart meds is a pain in the ass, because he acts like i'm physically assaulting him, and he hisses and scratches me, ok?

they want to snuggle with me whenever i'm there, and it disgusts me. i always push them away, but they never get the hint that they're not wanted, and keep coming back. even after the one is pissed off after getting meds, he immediately wants to snuggle.

the one on heart meds ALWAYS tries to sneak outside, even though he's not supposed to go out because of his condition. we've had to chase him several times through people's yards, and he freaks the fuck out when we finally catch him... then immediately wants to snuggle when we get back inside, ok?

fuck cats, ok? garbage animals.

People always say this, but I've never seen this to be the case. In my lifetime, my family and myself has had something like 12 dogs and I've never had one that wouldn't just chill out and leave me alone.

Like, they always wanna be in the room with you, but for the most part they'll just sit by you and sleep. Let them outside once every few hours and they're good to go.

I have had cats and i currently have a dog. Well my family decided to get a dog and i didnt care. So i can confidently say that cats are much better than dogs.

Cats are more chill and more pleasant to be around. I like how cats react to you coming back home after a few hours compared to how dogs react when you come home.

Yeah the idea of cats not loving is crap. They definitely do. But cats are more solo creatures, they more often go off on their own, they like socializing as well but they want their alone time and are more independent. Meanwhile dogs are of a pack mentality and require that social stimulation being around their pack, looking for direction etc..

I'm definitely a cat person, a cat is much easier to care for, less supervision is required. I feel like having a cat is like having say a 8/9 year old child. While having a dog is like having a 3/4 year old.

If you die your cat will eat you, beginning with your eyelids, lips, and nostrils, within hours of death.

Dogs will wait until they are starving and have been known to die of starvation next to their owner's corpse rather than eat it.

Don't try to love something that views you as food.

Dogs will eat you. German Shepherds, in particular, are known for eating the face first. Some are so distressed they do so well before they become hungry.

Cats are not scavengers and feasting on a rotting corpse would take longer.

http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/explainer/2011/07/would_your_dog_eat_your_dead_body.html

http://bigthink.com/robby-berman/ever-wonder-if-your-beloved-dog-or-cat-would-eat-you-if-you-died

Most of the cases Englehaupt reviewed were of dogs, by a large margin, though there were some cases in which cats were implicated. Cats have a reputation for eating their dead owners, and Englehaupt has heard from EMTs that it's pretty common, but most of the documentation is canine-related. There are even a few reports of hamsters and birds chowing down.

...

The 2015 study found that in 24% of all the cases they examined, dogs had begun eating their masters in under 24 hours and some of them even chose to do so in spite of having normal dog food available.

I don't get how anyone can think they actually know whats going inside a dogs head.

especially the thing when people say a dog is dreaming about running just cause their legs are twitching. like ever stop and think perhaps they are having a nightmare? I only twitch in my sleep when having a nightmare.

Well I never said anything like the latter, but dogs are blatantly loving. They have a tendency to want to slobber all over your face rather than just follow the pack.

no you didn't say anything like the latter, but many people do seem to think that. I just never got how people think they know what goes on in a animals mind. the love part sure, thats not a hard thing to detect.

cats can be the same though, I have one thats weird, wants nothing to do with me anywhere in the house until I go into my bedroom, they she comes running in after me and wants all the attention I can possibly give.
