XIII_rocks 10/02/17 10:21:44 AM #21:	That was a pretty outstanding season all told End of the episode was super neat and it felt like two separate episodes playing out in a lot of ways but it was definitely great fun. And the season on the whole was amazing. Pickle Rick might not even be in the top 3 for the season and that would be the best episode of many other shows. ShatteredElysium 10/02/17 6:36:32 PM #27:	Yeah my feelings of it being weak weren't because of the lack of Evil Morty (who it became obvious would not appear once it showed the president), it was that it just lacked the oomph you expect of season finale and there were quite a few episodes this season that were better. It just didn't feel like a finale at all. Ricklantis or Morty's Mind Blowers would have been better finales. Morty's Mind Blowers in particular could have easily been modified to be the finale either by having something impactful being erased or showing a mind blower with consequences as the last one. Hell, you could have even linked Mind Blowers to the Ricklantis events at a stretch by having all those events on a vial. Like I dunno, it wasn't a bad episode last night. I just wanted more from a finale, it just didn't feel like one and I half wonder if they changed plans as there had been rumors of a longer season this year. I wonder if we will get a surprise episode like episode 1 in the future (maybe at Xmas from what post credits said?). They are really good at referencing something and then sticking to it like they did with the April 1st episode. They even did it in this episode (the South Park Minecraft episode was Oct 2 2013, so almost 4 years to the day like Rick said). Jerry is the only thing in the multiverse that poses a threat to Rick, and this season Jerry triumphed over Rick. This show is all about expectation subversion, so if they hint at something, it's likely not going to happen the way you'd expect.
