It was nerfed way too hard. Maybe like make the health limit 50% instead. 100% makes it way too easy for the ability to be useless.

When things like dunsparce, stantler, luvdisc, sunflora etc. aren't utter trash pokemon then I'll care about gale wings no longer being overpowered.

needed a nerf but I think it's a little too big of a nerf, especially since the main flying move you use with it has recoil so a single use will ruin your priortity

It had a lot of checks, Talonflame was never oppressive, just annoying sometimes. Certainly didn't warrant being destroyed, so that sucks. Used the guy in Battle Tower though I didn't like him in my team comps for online comps since his best set was the tanky one and I loathe making stall comps.

I think it only mattered in Battle Spot Singles (lol). It should have been left alone.

This is the fairest. Gale Wings was OP but it's useless now. Talonflame deserves better.

Eh, tournament play for basically anything with a lot of changes boils down to that. Though it was particularly bad near the end of Gen 6 where, like, four of the same Pokemon were on every team for VGC. VGC is a lot less balanced than what Smogon attempts to do though, at least. May not agree with a lot of what Smogon does but they've done a bettee job of creating diversity than the creators do.

Stop exaggerating and either way it's still 100% true that they've got better diversity than VGC. I didn't say that somehow meant that they every Pokemon sees action in the top of the ladder.

They're still suspect testing stuff, but at the end of ORAS the format was fairly balanced. In the current meta they need to suspect Greninja, Magearna, and maybe even Landorous-T
