...while sleeping?

I'm just wondering. I know some people that do and some that don't.

I've been wearing my band while sleeping but my wife prefers to not.

My wife and I don't tend to wear our rings at all anymore. We wore them all the time right after we got married. Then we started to just wear them when we went out and take them off when we were home. Then we just wore them for more formal occasions and now we pretty much are just out of the habit of wearing them at all.

Some women only wear their rings when meeting relatives; other times, they don't wear it.

Now that you mention it, my parents never wore marriage rings.
I don't recall them ever wearing them since I was kid. I don't know if they even have them.
Perhaps, my mother had pawned them back when she had debt and mortgage.

I'd definitely wear mine if I were married. Of course, I've never worn a ring before, so I'd probably have to get used to it or eventually might start taking it off at home or something.

My mom used to wear hers constantly, then eventually she stopped. I've never seen my dad with his, I don't even know if he still has it.

that's probably also what i would do since that's what i saw growing up

but they'd also take it off when it would be unsafe to wear like if they were doing diy home projects or working in the yard, etc. but whenever practical they were wearing theirs.

When you wash your hands your ring will move around enough. It shouldn't be so tight to your finger it literally can't move at all.

Don't wear any other jewelry but I wear the ring 24/7. Might as well be surgically attached.

I know it would fly off if I shake my hand if it was cramped. Only lost it once so far when I put it in a shirt pocket while drunk.

These are all metaphors for marriage.

I don't care if people assume I'm single, as I have no intentions of cheating on my wife. I don't need a ring to stay faithful.

Never liked jewelry, plus I work with machinery and as Foxx pointed out degloving is enough of a deterrent for me to not wear it to work.

Used to wear it when we went out, but after a few times forgetting to put it on I just stopped bothering.

Yeah I mean folk cheat or don't cheat with or without rings on their fingers so. Still seems a bit pointless to use a wedding ring to get married but never wear it. Ah well each to their own.

Yeah I can understanding not having it on when working. I'm also not a fan of wearing jewellery myself.

My wife and I always wear ours. I think we take them off only to cook with raw meat or, like, bread dough or something.

Personally, my finger feels naked and weird if I take my ring off. I just got used to having it there. I work in manufacturing, but I intentionally got a tungsten carbide ring so that I can wear it while working. Hers is gold, but it's smaller and doesn't stick up much, so it doesn't snag things.

I don't wear my wedding ring because I have sensitive skin (I forget what it is called) but even so called hypoallergenic jewelry causes a rash. I usually take two Zyrtecs a day to not get skin reaction from any number of things. My allergist says I can take 6 a day before needing to talk to him for something stronger.

not married but if I where, I wouldn't wearing rings for prolonged periods of time irritates my skin. i've been told putting a coat of clear nail polish on the ring would fix that issue, but i'd rather just not wear rings.
