I really wasn't expecting to dig it, but I am. I guess it doesn't help that a Seth McFarlane knockoff of Star Trek with fart jokes is more Star Trek than the ACTUAL new Star Trek show is.

Watching the new episode now, psyched!

I noticed Robert Duncan McNeill directed the second episode, and Johnathan Frakes did the one airing next week.

Oh shit wow, that actually makes alot of sense. I just can't get over the fact that it's like a blatant star trek ripoff, except a bit more crass, and I like it so much. When I saw the previews I thought it was crazy that they would make it with an actual Star Trek show coming out at the same time, but they must've known something we didn't. Turns out the need for a Star Trek-esque show was valid even with Discovery coming out.

I've been watching videos from the recent 30th anniversary Star Trek con and that's when I learned of Robert directing. Tim Russ also said he'd like to guest star on The Orville.

I was taken aback when Liam Neeson popped up in last night's episode.

Is he good friends with Seth? He was in Ted and pretty sure he voiced himself in Family Guy
