the shitty thing is the dialogue will be about preventing violence in schools and condemning the bullied kid, and nobody will attempt to solve the bully problem. also the dead bully's parents probably think he was a "good boy who never hurt anyone"

this is why bullying is bad.

1. it's evil to torment someone

2. you run the risk of pushing them too far and then they snap

These. The article suggests that they're more interested in metal detectors than stopping bullying. Looks like it's not a very good school anyway. A shame for the students.

I ended my bullying in 5th grade with a rock.

It was a gang of older girls that bullied me for a long time, it escalated and one day they stole a very important paper from me and kept mocking me and stuff, they surrounded me and started throwing rocks at me. I threw one back, hit the leader on the head and she started to bleed a lot, blood was everywhere, she got like 20 stiches but was fine. I thought I killed her, I was so scared.

But no one bullied me after that.

why is the kid going to get jail time? the kid should be let go. so its okay for bullying victims to commit suicide but not okay to defend themselves? the internet should do something about this case and get nationwide exposure and a good lawyer should make a stand and get the kid free from any charges. this is no different from defending yourself on the street. and it turns out the stabber is gay and has been getting called gay slurs for a long time.

this will be a good case.

this was a long time ago when people weren't so uptight so it was just a 2 week OSS and no other issues.

yeah because its okay when the person being bullied decides to kill themselves when they get no help from other people? in the real world you have to protect yourself, if people call you names it will escalate to violence by any side. hopefully this gets to be a national issue, and these savage bullies all over the world can think twice about bothering someone else. this kid should get the best lawyer available and people should be donating to him.

its come down to this because a lot of humans are evil and like violence but when things get turned around they complain and cry.

According to this, the bullying by the victims only happened on the day of the stabbing. This was not a case of continuous bullying over a long period of time (at least from the victims).

http://abcnews.go.com/US/metal-detectors-brought-nyc-school-day-deadly-stabbing/story?id=50152210

Police said the suspect, Abel Cedeno, gave them a detailed statement in which he indicated the two stabbing victims only started bothering him on the day he allegedly stabbed each of them once in the chest.

Bob Boyce, chief of detectives for the New York Police Department, said Cedeno told investigators he had been verbally harassed by other students before the start of school "but not these two individuals."

and it turns out he was getting punched by the two kids that day and has been called gay and racial slurs for years by a lot of people, so it will be an easier defense for his lawyer. this is what happens when liberal america doesnt do anything about bullying in schools, theyd rather suspend or expell a victim if they fight back instead of just the attacker, theyd rather have people get beat up and hope that help comes just in time. and this is what happens when people cry for help and get nothing done in return, then when people defend themselves they say " oh god why did this happen? It sucks that schools teach kids not to fight back. If we still encouraged kids to fight back physically or verbally it wouldn't have got bottled up to this point.

Instead they tell kids to tell an adult which just results in more bullying.

sounds like they are trying to cover it up for their sake, because they know that they have to cover up failed action by people complaining about bullying. and kids in the school say all 3 of them have been having problems since the start of the school year.

That's not what I read. According to my sources, the two victims were merely throwing pencils at him. In order for self-defense to be legally viable, you must present evidence that you had reasonable fear of imminent bodily harm, and I'm afraid that being hit by pencil does not clear that threshold.

pencils can land in an eye, and thats grounds for an ass kicking. and all of this misinformation is whats going to make the court cases much more complicated, but the kids in the school will end up backing him.
