Construction On Border Wall Prototypes To Be Built Within A Month

The federal government says contractors have begun building prototypes of President Donald Trumps proposed border wall with Mexico.

The contractors are erecting eight prototypes in San Diego four made of concrete and four of other materials. Construction will last about 30 days.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) may pick several designs, or none. They agency says in a press release that the designs will inform standards for future construction.

The prototypes will be 18 to 30 feet high and 30 feet long.

Because it really won't do much. It is way too expensive of an undertaking to go through with just because it is better than nothing. The majority of illegals come here legally and overstay and there are a ton of ways to get around a wall in goddamn 2017. Illegal immigration is not such a pressing issue that we need to desperately throw billions at a wall in the desperate, last ditch hopes of making a dent.

no it won't. if it actually gets built, it won't be torn town 1 year later. that would be the worst waste of federal money in US history to build a massive project and then tear it down 1 year later. plus it would cost money to tear it down too.

no it won't. if it actually gets built, it won't be torn town 1 year later. that would be the worst waste of federal money in US history to build a massive project and then tear it down 1 year later. plus it would cost money to tear it down too.

It wouldn't be literally torn down. But you can pretty much 100% guarantee that any and all maintenance costs would be completely cut and the wall would be left to basically fall apart on its own.

Because the wall is basically the conservative version of gun control, it's not going to stop illegal immigration it's only a feel good measure to give people a peace of mind. And yes there is nothing wrong with enforcing our immigration law, but you don't enforce it with stupid and pointless laws that are not only expensive but also won't work either.

Liberals has always been about lowering the Military budget, it's usually conservatives that are for the increase in security like Military and cutting social programs.
