This as been a big reason for me as to why I can't fully get behind trans-related surgery as I don't believe the repercussions are fully understood, but the means and ability to better understand them exist. The idea that these issues can't be researched because of political correctness or that people/institutions don't want to be 'on the wrong side of history' is disgusting. Furthermore there are under-researched issues around mental health among trans-people. Some people even believe based on certain stats that many people who undergo transitions may not actually have gender dysphoria or be actually trans, but again these issues will not get researched/studied at the behest of individuals and groups inevitable faux outrage and at the expense of individuals welfare and potentially their lives. --- We have no empathy, and we expect none from you. Then when you look at cases like the two post-op trans women from CE, my co-worker, and other successful trans people like Laverne Cox who have a stable circle of support, they all are happy. Mason Dunn of the Massachusetts TPC is a transgender guy who has been fighting for transgender people for years now and clearly has his head on his shoulders. Grace Stowell.... she's in her 70s and she's so selflessly working towards helping these youth going through what she did and giving them a home where their family may not have. I've been around many transgender people in my life. The happy and successful ones are the ones with stable family and friend circles. That's the key. I am transgender. I have been around more trans people than you ever have. I have researched a lot on my end as well for school-based projects. The topic is close to me and the facts are..... without a stable circle, they will fall into this hole, wishing they weren't trans because people like you tell them that being trans is wrong and unnatural.
