It feels like I only get one or the other, and everytime I get one I think to myself I'd rather have the other symptoms.

Definitely the sneezing, runny nose and coughing out of those two.

Option 1 can sometimes cause me to be worthless and skip work. Option 2 never does that.

The first thing usually goes away after 24 hours, but a bad cough can plague me for months

I can handle sitting around feeling crummy so pain/headaches/tiredness don't bother me too much.

So of the two options I voted for the one with coughing, but the actual worst part about having something like a cold is the stuffiness. I hate waking up and being unable to breathe through my nose for like an hour because it all clogged up while I was sleeping.

I can usually sleep off the first thing, but with the second one I still feel like s*** after I wake up.

Runny nose and coughing is annoying but I can endure it. But my job is just a nightmare when I have the tiredness and pains.

Headaches are the bane of my existence - when I have a headache, existing becomes more difficult. Aches and pains just compound this.

The latter, on the other hand, while it makes going out in public harder, doesn't stop me from doing things I enjoy.
