Honestly, watching better detective stories makes L's strongest points a bit weaker, still was at a point a great character.

They are not. Neither is Oliver Queen from Arrow and DC Comics. They are counting all as the same character and that's how it will be for the entirety of this series. The only exceptions would be different variations of characters recognized in continuity as such canonically.

That's more well-known. I was attempting to reach a broader audience with the topic. However, my rating is based on my experiences and the topic will not be swayed by your attempt to undermine this series by questioning the validity of my personal rating which has no bearing on the management of the series.

This makes me hate the Death Note movie. I watched it as a so bad it's good movie. But seeing people watch it and hate pretty much everything concerning Death Note, actually makes me hate the movies existence.

Congrats. You ended this series. Shocker that the first day you show up, you would attempt to derail a project that I've worked on by impugning my character for the umpteenth time.

Like, all I wanted to do was start a fun topic series that would cultivate some useless but entertaining stats over time and maybe lead to some good discussions about characters like in the Darth Vader topic. Instead, you have to witlessly attack me because apparently my worldview and life experiences don't match yours. Oh, I must be trolling because I hardly ever watch Japanese cartoons and therefore have only had any experience with a character through a movie that was very dull and poorly written. Yup, definitely trolling!

I think it's a shame to use a very negatively received film to help you score a character whose source material is very well received. You're entitled to do whatever obviously. Also not sure how this qualifies as "derailing". It's a ranking topic and I'm literally talking about ranking the character in the topic itself. I have no problem with conversation or discussion. Johnbobb shared an opinion in the last topic I disagreed with, and we had a brief back and forth about our interpretations of the character. Instead, you just blatantly attack both the conceptualization of the project and later dismiss my opinions. The derailing was you questioning the validity of me using one source material as my basis for rating and using the more popular source material for a picture. That, in conjunction with you saying that I "troll" rate is uncalled for. I don't see how I've mocked anyone in this topic series. In my opinion, you have denigrated my personal beliefs and the way I managed this series. It would be one thing to say "Hey, sucks that you haven't watched the good version of this, you really should, you might change your mind" which is how, like, a nice person might act (see BetrayedTangy), and how you essentially say, "Well fuck the trolls for not conforming to my personal beliefs!"

It was a very simple statement with no real ill intent, but you responded with something ignorant about how I wanted "undermine" your topic series just because I was curious why you did that.
