this used to be my policy but my patience has worn thin on some games that just have cutscenes drag on and on and on. I'll watch some or part of a cutscene and skip other parts. Great example of this is Lost Odyssey where I just started skipping any cutscene with Cooke/Mack focus, or Jansen/Ming interactions.

The prose was good, but god damn the game's story was fucking terrible cringy shit.
