EverHeardOfIt 09/20/17 6:40:56 PM #1:	It's not a satire, and while it's decently lighthearted it takes itself seriously and the comedy never undercuts the story. I was ready to cringe if they were going to attempt jokes every 10 seconds but pleasantly, a lot of the time it seems like they're going to set up a cheap joke but they don't, they just let the dialogue stand for itself. Lots of great little subversive human moments too, in the sense of what it might actually feel like to be in a sci-fi world, but never in an overly satirical wacky way. <cite>EverHeardOfIt posted [p:886974894] in The Orvill... I would almost say it's a more realistic Sci-Fi show. Not everyone is so stiff and formal all the time. It's not the show I thought it'd be, and I actually like it. But that ending was hilarious. I loved it. But overall, the show works for me. Not too silly. Decent dialogue. Likable characters. The CGI looks pretty good. I think I get what they were going for with the Androids design, but it doesn't do it for me. It clashes with the set and theme and looks out of place, in a bad way. Adrianne Palicki is looking fine, as always. And Halston Sage is so cute in her little alien makeup. And I like how she's super strong. I remember her from Crisis, which I loved, but no one else watched. I at least got my brother and sister to watch it, though. --- I use Google...
