In an era where Stan/Wendy and Cartman/Heidi have broken up, yes, Clyde/Tweek are still "together."

Watched some South Park on tv a couple days ago. They were airing stuff like Tsst, Return of the Fellowship of the Rings, and Good Times with Weapons. It was amazing.

Now everything has to be about current events. I miss old South Park.

For those keeping scorecards here, the title and commercial suggests there will be a lot of points given out this episode. Get hyped!

Loooooved Tweek's opening song.

Enjoying the rest too, but lots of conflicting feelings about the style of jokes so far. Bring it on, but shit.

So...we have some continuity with Cartman/Heidi. Glad to see continuity isn't gone entirely, will be curious to see how much they keep thisbseason after sounding like they were done with it.

a nice comeback after last week's episode. there were several parts here that made me crack up. the first time cartman came out singing was pretty amazing. I thought the stuff between him and heide was very jarring once again. I wish that wherever this plotline is going they would just get it over with already. at this point there's 0 reason why heide should even remain within 100 feet of this person ever again, unless there's some kind of twist like she actually is abusing him but we're never shown that (so it makes eric seem crazy).

the ending was kind of a whiff, though. I honestly cannot tell what the point here was. if they were saying that the president tweeting is seriously a bigger issue than suicide or vehicular manslaughter then they are being dumb and hysterical. if they were mocking people who actually believe that, they didn't do a very good job. this came across as pretty genuine.

all of the actual tweets and the scenes of north korea made me laugh pretty hard though. so even though they dropped the ball at the end the overall plotline was still funny. the scenes of the distracted drivers killing people was pretty reminiscent of the old people driving to country kitchen buffet in one of the previous season plotlines, but I'd say this was probably funnier. I remember that one being more about absurdity while this one was more focused on shock humor. I guess the shock made me laugh a lot harder.

Another fine episode, yes, probably better than last week's but I enjoyed that one a lot too.

I think South Park's 2/2 on clever endings that are landing softly. I took the episode almost as a real PSA against being on the phone and driving. The President-part was set up properly yet still felt like a twist out of nowhere. They probably mean that sincerely too -- get offline, Mr. President -- but that's more of a joke. Ending with the ASL-lady in the corner was funny though.

And Cartman'a got flow! Sometimes. For every moment I was like DAMN, there was another that was like OOF. Still enjoyed it however -- this makes South Park 2/2 on including rap right now.

Did anybody else feel like Clyde was out of character this episode? I liked him and thought he served his role well as Tweek's logical side, but it felt a lot kinder from him than usual and this seemed more like a real relationship than a relationship simply built for society to feel good about them.

One of the best episodes of the past decade. Felt like season 3 kind of magic.

It's amazing what happens when Matt & Trey actually try

he was in character in the first half, then his characterization was changed as a result of his experiences during the episode

this is sometimes called "character development"

Yes yes, thank you for the writing lesson. I'm including the first half in my question, not just a mid-episode change.

Can anybody remember a time Tweek didn't spaz out before this episode? It's kinda wild to think about him needing somebody to be emotionally there for him all these years.

Just saw it and XFD that was great. I don't know if I somehow missed it, but did anybody notice Kenny on the pic of people killed by distracted drivers? I never even saw him die during the episode. It was hilarious seeing him on there.

Also I was really hoping that Eric actually would kill himself even if they revived him later like they always do with Kenny

I love how Garrison was the most hilarious character in the episode despite not having a single word of dialogue

Big day for points -- everybody scores! A few people even got six points here: Chaeix and my in-person friend TC nailed it with calling some combination of Kim Jong-Un, North Korea, and either fidget spinners or student mental health. Great job!

New lead-change, too! Johnbobb and TC are neck and neck at eight points.

I gave Johnbobb one point for "Trump/Garrison's Presidency"...I'm certain he'll have the first two points by the end of the season, but for now I didn't think a few tweets in one episode was enough to get full credit yet.

WiggumFan267 gets half a point for "it's" (wasn't ready for contractions, open for feedback here) while ZeroSignal620 and Johnbobb got "it." ZS620 is the first person to get two words right in titles, too...niiiiiiiice.

This was definitely a political episode, so we're now 2/2 on the episode-count. Randy is my vote for the most featured adult so far...several of you were smart to play this one safe, but the game's still early. Cartman and Heidi are back together after last week's break-up; this is exciting for me as the only person predicting they'll be together at the end of the season. This could be my secret weapon...!
