It's one of the best ones lol. The melancholic tone of it is one of the best things about it. Also the guy that can teleport of the three kids is Reo. I like him the most of the trio. He uses swords too and I love swords. I'm a melee guy. The Shangri-la part is catchy but the overall song is just eh, too melancholic and made me take the series not seriously because I knew it would be depressing. This new OP is way more epic and even triumphant sounding so it sounds like the MCs will actually do something and not just die and make people cry for a change. ...And I just watched episode 9 and uh yeah. This is exactly what I wanted, no macabre death and despair everywhere. Mark Sein became jesus and started saving everyone, even best neo UN girl I thought would die. This is way better than the first season. The main characters aren't helpless anymore. My favorite part (other than best neo girl being saved) was when the "elite diablo" version was casually seen skewering redshirts and the neo un heros were getting their asses kicked unable to even touch it... and then Soushi just casually goes "is that it?" and goes Zeus on every single one of them and destroys the minibosses like nothing. This is much better than before. It better keep up this pace and not kill off my cute girls and likeable dudes. @GiftedACIII DUDE DUUUUUUUUUDE FINALLY You watched episode 9! One of the best episodes of the whole Fafner series! That was so fucking hype. I was waiting for you to get there. I fucking lost it when Kazuki and Soushi came to the rescue in their boost pods and then kicking ass in their Fafners. Also another thing I was waiting for you to see was SOUSHI FINALLY PILOTING. I can't remember how he sorted out his eye pain and whatever that prevented him from piloting before but I love that when he pilots HE BRINGS OUT HIS CHUUNI SIDE. Seriously his attitude, his cockiness and the things he says when he pilots. It's almost like he's another person. He's so fucking badass. Anyway finally finished the first cour- even though we get ominous scenes like people losing part of their body these new characters are still kicking ass which I really like. I like these new abilities. It gives each character more individuality. Now even Sakura and Canon, our old protagonists from the original series has them too! Sakura's is actually really badass, she can now make clones of herself! Also, Burns is back and I really wanted him dead in the first series... but it looks like he's actually a good guy now! That definitely eases me a little, as I had spoiled myself that he would return and was going to be triggered but he's actually pretty cool now.
