People like Elon Musk are convinced we are most likely living in a simulation. I always wondered, what if we're all the same person? just in different timelines or something of that nature? If you think about it everything that exists can be counted as one, how many "things" are there? You can be counted as one person but in reality you're made up of trillions of smaller pieces. So if you were to zoom out of earth, zoom out of the milky way galaxy, zoom out of the universe, zoom out as much as possible. You could count everything as one. So I don't think death is the end. I think you just become something else. How do you know you weren't around in the dinosaur era, just as something else? I don't know if I believe in an afterlife but right now I highly doubt it. Our consciousness most likely ceases to exist. It's kinda scary to imagine not existing but it's almost relaxing. Like going to sleep and never waking up. A sweet surrender and release from the trappings of consciousness and existence. But the pure idea of not existing at all in any way, shape, or form is downright terrifying too.
