Prolly. Paid around 600 for mine and I can play bo3 on high settings at 60 fps

Was it a prebuilt one?

Should have clarified in the title that I don't know how to make one and would prefer a prebuilt one which I know are typically a lot more expensive.

Depends how decent you want. Not knowing how to make one is not an excuse. But if you want to throw away $500 for less performance, be my guest.

I knew absolutely nothing about building PCs and I was terrified at first. But many of my friends told me it wasn't too difficult, so I used Reddit and YouTube to learn. It's pretty fun and it helps to build yourself, so you understand why each component is important and what to check if anything goes wrong down the road.

Build it, i knew shit about building one but you can just watch vids of individual parts on YouTube and they'll tell you. Also watch the newegg building a pc tutorial, that really helped

Why would you buy a computer for gaming if your budget is that low? It won't be decent, you can play games, but need to scale down settings. Its better to invest in better hardware now than upgrade after few years both cpu and gpu, and probably power supply.

Witha PC that cheap you'll be running new games on low, if at all.

Just watch a build guide on YouTube.

The only part newbies seem to fuck up is bending pins on motherboards. Simple way to avoid that, don't take off the shield until you install the CPU. Don't be afraid to touch the CPU. Hold it well enough to where you don't drop it on the socket and fuck up the pins. Everything only goes in one way so align it up so that you don't fuck that part up.

It's not hard but that's the #1 way people mess up in a way that's bad enough to kill the build. It's kind of hard to mess up everything else. Hardest part is picking parts, but there are a million guides out there for that.

This is incorrect.

I specced out a build at Microcenter that's less than 500 and uses a GTX 970 (no SSD tho) and a much better case. 970 blows the 1050 out of the water but I might just be lucky and my local MC has a 970 for cheap.

Intel Pentium G4560 CPU $57
ASRock B250HDV mobo $60
Coolermaster Master watt 500w 80Plus $35
EVGA nVidia GTX 970 ACX2 $95.19
Crucial Ballistix 8GB DDR4 2400MHz $70
NZXT S340 $65
Wd Blue 1TB $45

TOTAL: $427

WINDOWS $25 ON REDDIT.

unless youre trying to put something into something else by smashing it into place with your foot its very hard to screw something up. everything hooks in one way and is color or number coded.

As far as prebuilt ones go...how does this one look? All the reviews are great but I get the feeling that most people who buy PCs at Best Buy probably don't know a whole lot (like me).

https://www.bestbuy.com/site/cyberpowerpc-gamer-ultra-desktop-amd-fx-series-8gb-memory-amd-radeon-rx-460-1tb-hard-drive-black/5615009.p?skuId=5615009

And how much would it cost to build one with similar specs just for comparison sake?

Terrible.

Avoid AMD FX processors. The 460 is meh.

The thing I posted is considerably better value.

Not necessarily, just saw one in the price range I want that seemed to be pretty good.

I'll be honest I'm not looking to play the most demanding newest games. Right now I want something that'll run WoW on full settings with minimum 60FPS(and maybe GTAV because the mods look fun as fuck) that can be upgraded later on if I want to play other games.
