I've really only read the first 3 books and seen a few tidbits of what's happening in the show. Always loved Jon and Bran in the books, though it seems like Bran's gotten kind of dull and become an exposition machine or something. Loved Tyrion and Arya was pretty good too. But Tyrion and now Jon have become corrupted by Dany, a character I hated. All I remember of Davos was wishing we weren't going off on yet another tangent, we were following enough storylines. And The Hound was always terrible. And Jaime... I know he supposedly improves but I find it hard to forgive somebody who'd do that to a kid.

I think a lot of people feel the same about many of these characters. If the characters are nasty, people don't like them. I don't personally care whether they're bad or can be forgiven.
