I'm bored and a masochist.

I'm certainly not getting it at launch. Destiny was one of the biggest disappointments I've ever had in gaming. It wasn't really worth the price until The Taken King dropped.

So, I'll be waiting a year or so and then picking it up cheap. Maybe. The first game was fun but nothing extraordinary. I'm in no rush to see the sequel unless I hear it really starts to do new things.

Favorite game? Lol. I'm just saying you obviously can't see that Destiny at launch, was a failure. That said, they don't owe it to you to fix it by any means. Obviously there was patches and free content but if you wanted to continue beyond the core experience yeah, you had to pay. That's the thing, developers have the ability to learn from their mistakes but they have no obligation to fix it for free.

Costs money to keep people on the clock mate and they don't owe it to you because you were disappointed with launch. You're implying that with a sequel they are going to repeat mistakes rather than have learned from them.

I'm hoping PvE gets priority... PvP in Destiny is eh at best IMO. If I wanted a competitive shooter I'd play CS or something.

With all gear being static, guns could be individually altered to keep the pvp meta balanced. Hopefully there are no dominant guns in pve that are viable in pvp to the point a nerf severely cripples the usage in pve.

The beta for Destiny 1 was like 20% of the entire game and people finished that in like a day or two.

Really, there was some average PvP and one raid for end game content at launch. I got fully geared with casual play in like, a month, maybe.

And then they released several expansions, essentially making the game cost $120 for people who bought it at launch to get the amount of content reasonably expected from a $60 AAA title.

People who waited got the full game with expansions for $60.

Destiny 1 at launch was an early access title, except it didn't give me access to the regular game's content down the line. It wanted me to buy in again. Fuck that business practice a million times over. I don't even care if Destiny 2 improved a lot from 1. Won't buy it.

They advertised Destiny as an MMO FPS. I got less than 5% of content of pretty much any MMO at launch and paid $60 for an advertised complete product when it was grossly obvious it was a central hub simulator with absolute bare bones content that didn't get fixed until several expansions down the line.

It was the worst value I got out of a video game ever. Sure, it was a little fun, but I'm not going to spend $60 on an unfinished product. At least early access titles give you the rest of the content if they ever finish developing the game. Activision was disingenuous about what it was offering. I think that's reasonable to not want to buy the game. Sorry I offended you by being critical of your pride and joy.

Destiny was fun, but wasn't worth the money investment.

I played the Beta, played the full game from launch and enjoyed the game. my buddies, myself, and the majority of the internet itself noticed obvious paths were blocked off in the game. as if it were to be used for content ALREADY IN THE GAME, but simply not accessible. certain events and cut scenes were never actually in the game itself, so it raised certain questions.

anyway, it was fun but wasn't worth the investment. too expensive for so little. if it weren't for this, I'd likely be down to buy.

the list goes on, most of those games last 10 hours at best and come with no post release content

TC probably thinks CDProjekt Red are Gods because they staggered the release of content to produce goodwill against pirates
