So much better. I honestly wanna show people Better Call Saul, but I know I'd have to show them Breaking Bad first to fully appreciate it, but after watching BCS, I find BB almost mediocre now. Like, I'm thinking, "They'd have to sit through this crap to get to BCS."

Despite the obvious connection, I think they don't lend themselves to comparison. BB is more about tension, punctuated by action, whereas BCS is very much an emotional show.

I think so. I don't think it has as much mass appeal as BB because of the slower pace, but the writing and characters are substantially better in BCS. In particular, I liked this past season more than any of the former series'.

I think they're close.

BCS somehow manages to build just as much tension without having to put its characters into actual harm's way.

My only thing against BCS is as much as people say you can enjoy it without watching BB, it does require a knowledge of BB in order to truly understand the meanings of certain scenes, characters motivations, and such.

That's not a criticism against BCS, but if all things are equal BB is better because it truly stands on it's own. It's a true achievement of craft in BB's case to be that good out of completely nothing.

BCS is one of the top 3 shows currently on TV, but it's not quite at BB levels. Still an amazing show that will hopefully clean up at the Emmys.

Not a fair comparison. We've seen all of BrBa and it was glorious. BCS could be equally good but there's no way to know yet. It is really good though, I'll give you that.

I don't know if I'd say it's better yet, especially since it's not concluded yet. But I'm pretty sure it will be when all is said and done

I would say the writing in BCS is as good if not better than BB, but BB's premise is inherently more interesting so it'll be hard to top with a more cerebral emotionally driven show with less action

Not even close imo. You were instantly hooked like 20 min into BB and it honestly never let up through the whole series

BCS is just a different type of show where you need to get into the characters more and theres a slower burn

That said, it is an amazing show and one that compliments BB very well
