17 year old me would be so confused right now and have no idea where to start...

How is SonicMania for all of you?

How would you rate the Sega Genesis controller out of 10?

Remember when EGM magazine had an April fools joke on how to unlock Sonic in Super Smash Bros for the N64, and people flamed people online saying that would never ever happen?

I haven't played it much yet, but seemed good.

OG 3 button genesis controller was ok 5 I guess, 6 button was were it was at, an 8.

It feels like the long lost 32-bit Sonic sequel. Loads of fun.

The old stages were tweaked just enough to make you feel like you found new secrets that you missed for 20 years. And there are references and easter-eggs integrated into the stage gimmicks and enemies. It's a real love letter to Sonic fans.

Wait is it out on PC already?

Came out 11am EST.

Unfortunately it does not have gamepad support yet. YOu have to configure your controller to keyboard bindings in Steam.

And there's no steam achivements yet (all the better to replay it when added)

I also got about 3 frame stutters during my 70 minute play (despite a high end PC).

And I forgot about all those times I died from underwater moving blocks. My old nemesis, we meet again.

Enjoy having a separate Super Transform button. Us console plebs have to wait until later for that.

Haven't tried that yet. Currently the cool Steam profile options fans made don't work as it doesn't have controller support yet despite what the store page says :(

One binding someone made allows you to switch between sonic/tails/knuckles control schemes on the fly.

I'd consider it more of a release after 20 years of edging sonic fans :)

I'd make a joke about a blue sphere somewhere here...

If I weren't broke at the moment I'd buy this on ps4. Watched the mike and Ryan video on Cinemassacre, looks awesome.

I hope Christian has a video of his reaction during the Skype call when it was said to add that :)

I have a portable high end gaming PC that I was going to bring to a friend's and have their kids play Sonic for the first time.

But i can't since they don't have wifi set up right now, so I wouldn't be able to run the game over there with the DRM ;___;

At least we can call play Trine!
