Or know anyone who does?

I've been thinking about looking into it. Anyone who follows my posts knows I've been trying to figure out some sort of new and better career for myself (I've been working retail for the past ten and a half years and I've kind of had enough lol).

It seems like there could be some good money in it, probably more than I'm making now. My friend just finished his classes for it and they didn't sound too bad. It's a few hundred bucks for a ten week course, classes on Saturday.

What I find appealing about it is the fact that it's not just a boring desk job, seems like there's a balance between doing desk work and moving around.

So if anyone has any input, I'd appreciate it.

I've never heard of anyone on here mentioning any real estate jobs.

Annette Benings character from American Beauty made it seem like oh so much fun.

I know a guy that worked retail for a very long time and recently switched to real estate. He likes it a lot and had an easy transition.

retail and fast food sucks you hardly ever get to talk to anyone and it's always standing around or running around, no breaks

the guy who invented the cubicle said it was supposed to be a new office not a way to seperate people

work culture is hell

look for a small warehouse type job, probably less orwellian

Meh, warehouse work sounds alright, but I'm trying to get away from doing physical labor, at least as a career lol. I had a hernia a few years ago and I also have scoliosis.

That's why I'm trying to find something that strikes kind of a balance between desk work and still being able to move around somewhat so I'm not completely sedentary lol.

try to get a security job if you can find one that pays decently. depending on the specific security job you could be sitting part of the day and walking some. in some cases you stay in a vehicle a lot driving around the property. but most of the security jobs my family has had, has had them sitting or standing in one spot mostly but once in awhile doing a patrol and walking around the area.

just unfortunately the job industry blew up after 9/11 and with having so many more security guard jobs pay went down on average.

edit: armed security pays more but you have the hassle of having to re qualify every so often and that comes out of your own pocket I believe.

Only thing worse than retail is the food services industry. Well, maybe jan-san.
