If it's a plot thread that's present from the first episode, then cool, and it was also hinted at in the end of season one. But something puts a shitty taste in my mouth when a show goes and spoils something massive about the next season for the sake of hype. It's a massive problem in the world of "geek culture". If BvS hadn't spoiled Wonder Woman in the trailers, it would have been a cool surprise in an otherwise 5/10 movie. It was still cool, and people might have been calling it all through the movie, but I hate how one of the trailers was like "Woah, hey guys! Wonder Woman! Look at this hype shit!" when it takes the whole movie to build towards her actually being Wonder Woman. I would have preferred to not know about ~~Peter Parker losing the Stark Industries spider-suit~~ unless I actually watched Spider-Man Homecoming. And now I'm pretty sure Justice League shit is spoiling ~~Superman's return~~, which means that ~~Superman has been manhandled, killed off and resurrected in the span of three movies~~. That sickens me. And now you have Stranger Things pulling the same shit. Will the over-exposure of ~~Eleven's return~~ make S2 any worse? It might, if it takes more than 2 episodes to ~~bring her back into the show~~, because you'll be expecting it and the show will keep building up to this thing like you're not expecting it. The show might be great, but leaving that shit in the back of your mind for too long can affect how you see the show and make you impatient. But that's not necessarily a barometer for the show's quality.
