Actually I'm drinking Fat Tire right now.

chimay grande reserve, delerium tremens, new holland dragons milk, and ommegang three philosophers

Assuming one's area provides these.

Unless you get local brewed stuff you're just going to find the common brews.

Cool... I'm originally from Johnson City.

I mean we get local stuff from Raleigh, Asheville, Greensboro and maybe Burlington.

But most is common shit.

That's the way it should be. The higher the better.

I used to like Fat Tire, then I had a warm fat tire during a flight because they didn't have any cold beer (wtf), and that was nasty. And Im someone who generally drinks alcohol at room temperature.

That's the thing.

NC is very snobby and brutal with their alcohol laws.

The Eastern part anyways.

The ALE is always snobing around.

I think they either hire people or people just take on the job that has a personal hatred for booze.

I have not. We split a Westvleteren 12 last night. Its definitely worth paying for the experience of drinking one . Wouldn't regularly buy it though. Not as a US citizen at least.

Yup. One of 13 (14?) Trappist breweries in the world.

I mean, those are pretty much the top tier of popular beer. Of course micros are better, but if you don't have many options, those are safe bets.

I will say that I used to love Blue Moon, but after drinking local hefes it is quite mediocre.

Never had it. I mean where I live we got good options, but if I get blue moon typically it's because A) They have a crap selection between Bud Light and Lagunitas, or B) I'm going to a party and the people there aren't very well versed on beer. Blue Moon is a safe bet in those instances.

Here recently I've been buying Hamm's Beer.

It's dirt cheap.

Like a 24 pk will run around $11.

Kind of tastes like a Miller.
