No, new production machine-guns were banned during Reagan with the support of the NRA, and before that machine-guns along with several other types of firearms and accessories were taxed to living hell under FDR whom might I add forced US citizens to leave their home and live in camps just 8 years later. His "Judges" said both of those were perfectly fine after he stuffed the court with yesmen judges and minorities being his opposition.

Get that S&W M&P 15-T below it, get an Aimpoint Micro RDS, a Streamlight TRL-1hl light, 50 30rd mags, and like 20,000 rounds of federal 5.56 ammo for the same money.

You'll have more fun poppin steel plates at 300yds and have enough ammo and magazines to last a zombie apocalypse.

Oh, Well I know a dude with a semi-auto MG42. It is pretty cool but it is heavy as fuck. He's always talking about converting it but I think that'd take a lot of paperwork and manual labor according to him. He's an FFL dealer but it still wouldn't be easy.

This guy has supressors, an MP5A2 (real fully auto), and a 'converted' CAR-15 (basically an old M4 that was built out of a semi-auto Colt with a 15" barrel, but the Full Auto is not labeled you just switch it over to the right side). He also has a full auto Glock 17 and that shit just jumps around like crazy and dumps 33 or 50 round mags like nothing. A regular 17 round mag takes less than a second lol. He also has a Ruger 10/22 convereted to full auto, it is fun because of the lack of recoil and .22 is relatively cheap.

The MP5 with the supressor and a MP5K foregrip added is very fun to shoot, very quiet with 147gr subsonic ammo. The CAR-15 is fun but it is very easy to let it get away from you, it makes sense why 3 round burst is popular on .223 because that is really all you would want (the mp5 can get away from you too but the can on the end adds some weight/control to it, out of all his full autos it is the most controllable other than the .22).

people are rich as fuck and want a centerpiece. 9k to me or you is a lot but not shit to some rich dude, but getting a real m249 would be really fucking hard unless you knew people and would get you a dime in the federal pen and a 250k fine

and the closed bolt would cook it (cooks the barrel first, m249s have to get barrel swaps quite often) but it might be convertible to full auto. I'm assuming you could feed it from a belt like a real one and carry more than a 30rd, but if it only takes Stanags(AR15 mags) that is no problem, there are reliable 60rd magpul drums and 60-100rd surefire coffin mags.
