What is your opinion on Korean dramas?

I grew up having to watch these because otherwise there was no TV to watch at times in my house.

I can tell you right now that once you've seen about 5-8 of any Korean dramas/soaps, you've seen them all.

I laugh when I watch them just seeing all the ridiculous overacting and stereotypes/tropes they use

tbf, modern SK is actually very high up on the civilization chart. I'd say its higher than most of loleurope only beaten out by Germany, Netherlands and the Scandanavian countries.

Koreans are fiercely nationalistic and yeah, they make a lot of claims like this. Some of them are valid (such as Baekjae art being found in Japan being... you know, from Baekjae), while others are not (claims that Kevlar was developed in Korea first, your thing about SUn Wukong, etc)

It's got SOME validity tho because Journey to the West is a Korean tale too - the real explanation is probably that it originated from Buddhist beginnings, not Chinese or Korean necessarily. Could be INDIA (hanuman anyone?)

I had a really disappointing experience with Chinese Twice Cooked Pork at one restaurant
There was only like 8 pieces of pork in it, it was mostly steamed veggies, cost like 13 bucks, and the pork tasted and felt like it had only been cooked once.

Needless to say I was very unhappy. I hate Chinese places that pull shit like that.

IDK, Christianity in Korea has a long history. They're just really devout, I guess. The culture emphasizes family teachings and stuff.
