She's not marching around Charlottesville looking to ethnically cleanse the untermensch or whatever the alt-right is up to over there, she just doesn't want to fuck or date Mexicans. I dont share that sentiment, but I'm not going to lose sleep over it.

it's ok to not be attracted to a race, but someone who announces something like that usually harbors more sinister thoughts. not everyone is running around ethnically cleansing people, but racism fuels itself in communities that already somewhat racist. you get a group of people slightly racist towards mexicans in one community eventually it becomes more socially acceptable to say outwardly racist things.

it's also genuinely ridiculous to be racist towards mexicans. mexicans are a nationality, not a race. they are an admixture of white and native americna blood. i am mexican but look almost completely white and have genetic testing and am 84% european.

Depends on what she'd say. But she hasn't said anything to indicate she'd oppose that. She hasn't tried to declare them inferior or unclean, she's just not sexually attracted to, if you want to be more specific, brown Hispanics. Most have these sort of preconceived notions or observations of what a person's culture/behaviour is based on their race. Most will approach these things in a joking/facetious manner rather than straight up preaching hate. They have their opinions or preferences and for the most part these are pretty harmless. Although, there is an awful lot of "finger pointing" going on in today's world.

People that use dating websites, for example. Do they often filter by race, or when browsing are they drawn to a particular race (their own, a different one, etc). Is that racist? Because I'm pretty sure that's what most people do, given that interracial couples have about the same prevalence as gay couples or maybe even less so. Shouldn't you potentially be getting to know everyone, since the only thing you can tell from the colour of a person's skin is what skin colour they possess? It tells you nothing about their hobbies, dreams, personality, etc.

I feel like there's never any good reason to discuss these views, like politics. People have a lot of really shitty opinions and in the end you're better off not knowing about them. Ignorance is bliss.

i dont know if you are right. i genuinely harbor no racist thoughts or differential levels of attractions to various races. My parents are an interracial couple though, and i think a lot of my lack of racism is partly caused by that.

I have and I've made it work despite disagreeing with it.

It mostly depended on how outspoken my partners were about their racist opinions. Sometimes those opinions didn't affect me personally so I could at least still find the guys attractive in private. And I could get over it as long as they were not broadcasting those beliefs everywhere we went.

I was not going to bother keeping a guy who chased off my friends. My guys behaved well enough, so I didn't see a problem keeping them.
