Current Events > Should I play FF V, or just move on to VI?

My current plan is to eventually finish IV-X. But if V is similar to/worse than IV, I might skip it.

Sorry for the garbage taste, but I thought IV was just alright.

Play it if only for the job system. VI is better all-round though.

V is way better than 4 IMO.

I know I'm in the minority on that, but V and IV are very different, and I personally enjoy V's gameplay far more than IV. Way more customization thanks to the job systems, and the story is just more fun and a little goofier.

6 is better than both, but you definitely should not skip V.

EDIT: right! MrMallard mentioned the music and it has some of the best. the big bridge and the omega mk ii fight are great songs.

You should play V. The story is fairly loose, you're basically like "Wow, we should do this thing! Time is of the essence, and all that!" and then you can dick around for a couple hours with the Jobs. The gameplay is tight, you don't necessarily have to grind but with all the Jobs available it is a delight for people who like grinding. The art is good, there are some good emotional moments, and the music is fucking rad. If you play it, you need to play up until you reach the Big Bridge. It's somewhere between 8-10 hours in, I think.

You should absolutely play it.
