Horror is actually a genre that I personally can't stand, but I'll be able to at least recommend action and drama shows. Outlaw Star is among my favorite series of all time, so we at least have that in common. I'll drop off 3 recommendations for you: Sakurada Reset ( https://myanimelist.net/anime/34102/Sakurada_Reset ) is a psychological drama about a town called Sakurada that is inhabited by people with "abilities". These abilites are only known to the people within the town, and leaving the town means forgetting about those abilities. The ability of the main character, Kei, is the ability to remember everything he sees and hears no matter what the situation. He combines this with his friend Haruki's ability to "reset" time by up to 3 days, and together they solve problems around the city and delve deep into the history and inner mysteries of the town of Sakurada. The show is a bit slow to start, but the later arcs are very interesting and have a lot of twists and turns. It's 24 episodes long and still currently airing (only subbed) but it's only a few episodes from the end. Princess Principal ( https://myanimelist.net/anime/35240/Princess_Principal ) is an action/drama anime about spies working during a war in a steampunk version of London. Yes, the spies are all cute girls, but the show definitely has enough action, suspense and darker themes to make it much more than a simple cute girls doing cute things show. This show is currently airing (only subbed) and about half of the 12 episodes have aired. Chaika the Coffin Princess ( https://myanimelist.net/anime/20853/Hitsugi_no_Chaika ) is a fantasy action/drama anime about a girl claiming to be the lost daughter of Emperor Gaz, an evil tyrant that ruled the land for centuries before his defeat. Joined by two "saboteur" siblings who are veterans of the war that led to the evil emperor's death, Chaika wants to gather the scattered pieces of the emperor's body and give him a proper burial. The mysteries of Emperor Gaz, Chaika, and the world as a whole leads to many adventures and dramatic moments.
