Apparently they were... at a completely separate and unrelated protest taking place on a different day nearly 3000 miles away on the other side of the country.

C'mon, dude, it says the city name in the URL you posted and the exact intersection they were at is even visible in the shot. If you're going to rely on unrelated pictures to try and bolster your point, at least try a bit harder than that.

Google-fu failed me on figuring out exactly where and when this picture was taken, but I found it on a couple of right-wing blog posts dated back to at least 2014, so I feel pretty confident in saying it's not from Charlottesville either, in spite of the fact there's a lot of morons using it in a dual-pic with a swastika flag from the Charlottesville protests.

The picture you posted was the headquarters of the German Communist Party in 1933. That's a better attempt than your last few pictures, but the black and white kind of tipped me off that this wasn't Antifa HQ.

Also you are calling all protesters of unite the right that were there "nazi's". While some of them were national socialists also that group consisted out of different groups and not all of them were national socialists.

They do, although they pretty much prove the point I made in my last post. You can see one, maybe two communist flags if you squint and look past the two dozen odd white supremacist/Nazi/Confederate flags and the guy in combat gear attacking the guy holding the "No Gods, No Master Race" sign.

I never denied there were communists there, but that's not the same thing as saying "the opposition was communists".

Antifa is not the same as Antifaschistische Aktion, though they do draw inspiration from the latter. The American wing is not organized, has no HQ, leadership, or organization, and is basically just a collection of far-left protesters (who seem to lean more towards anarchism than communism, though I won't deny many have sympathy for the latter).

I suppose if you want to split hairs between the Nazis, the KKK, the Skinheads, and unaffiliated white supremacists, you wouldn't be wrong to do so. That said, they all share similar enough ideals that I don't mind lumping them all under one banner (and, judging by their chants and the equipment they brought, they were all there for the same reason and it had nothing whatsoever to do with any statue). And since there was no shortage of sieg heil salutes and swastika tattoos at that rally, "Nazi" seems as good a label to me as any.

What I don't understand is why some (thankfully few) conservatives are jumping to the defence of these assholes. Hell, look at the name of their movement: "Unite the Right". They are trying to make hatred and racism signature elements of the political right and the Republican party and some Republicans are falling for it, most notably the freaking President. If anything, Republicans should be even more insulted and more outspoken in their criticism because these assholes are trying to drag their party into the mud and paint them all as white supremacists. I shouldn't have to explain why that's a bad thing.

Well, like I said, they have far left leanings (inasmuch as you can be far left and an anarchist) but they aren't associated with the European AFA in any formal way because the American group isn't an actual organization. They're sort of like Anonymous.

Near as I can tell, they decided on the Antifa moniker because they took inspiration from the AFA of the 30s - the one whose actual mission was street battles against Hitler's brownshirts.
