supergamer19 08/12/17 4:08:34 PM #7:	I watched it sooooo long ago, but I can't remember it being scary. It reminded me of going into the Hell part in Silent Hill at times. He's in a sort of dream state whilst he's being operated on in Vietnam? And the demons is his consciousness resisting death, then when he finally can't fight anymore they turn to angels who take him to heaven instead? And he dies more at peace? But the other thing to consider is that it's a movie made in the 1980s, so what was considered scary then might be less so now. So basically, whether or not it's scary depends on how desensitized you are (and whether or not you go into it looking for a horror movie, or just take it at face value as a creepy thriller). If you watch a lot of modern horror, it might seem almost quaint.
