It used to be movies but tv is so good now I think it's tv. And then movies. If you add music I think I'd put that in between them at #2. Then video games and then books.

I find that nothing provides as high a level of stimulation as video games. As far as recreation goes, just about everything else pales in comparison. I don't even want to focus my attention on films or television shows anymore; I'd rather have them on in the background while I do some grinding in an RPG or something. It takes an exceptional show or movie to get my undivided attention these days.

Rodney Dangerfield was one of my favorite Simpsons cameos, even if the episode felt like one of his movies and he pretty much riffed non-stop.

Engrossment is an interesting topic because, while videogames are engaging, I never lose a sense of awareness that I'm playing a game and that other things are going on around me. By contrast, a really good film sometimes makes me forget everything else in the world for a little while.
