I mainly only use my Ipad Pro for everything computer related I do. Which is mostly reading, watching shows and just browsing.

Haven't had an actual laptop since I graduated which was like 3 years ago or so.

Saw this on Bestbuy while browing laptops to buy one of our sales agent in Peru:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/dell-inspiron-2-in-1-13-3-touch-screen-laptop-intel-core-i7-12gb-memory-256gb-solid-state-drive-silver/5823027.p?skuId=5823027

EDIT - had the wrong laptop first, sorry.

It looks good and I can use my friends to get the extra $100 off from school.

What do you guys think? Looks decent and I will need a laptop for when I go do my Masters sometime next year.

Thanks,

It's OK. If you're just gonna be using it for schoolwork and stuff it should be fine, but you could probably get similarly specc'd for cheaper.

If you want it for gaming, it's got an integrated graphics card, which generally isn't good. You'll be able to run plenty of games, but don't expect good FPS or high settings.

What other would you recommend?

Being touch screen and that it "turns into a Tablet" are pretty cool options.

I mean, I doubt I would use it a lot, unless its for school and maybe some stupid games every now and then. My Ipad is my main source of entertaiment for the interent and my Desktop is barely used.

Programs wise I would be running the basic stuff and Minitab/Minitab quality companion.

The second one's better, but I still don't like touch screens. They're really not that useful, just buy a mouse and keep it with the laptop.

If you're not gonna be running games, both these laptops are fine. They've got decent processors and plenty of RAM, which are what's important for running a bunch of programs/tabs for school.

I am a big fan of the touch screen. It just feels natural. My work laptop does not have touchscreen and it sometimes throws me off, not a big deal at all. But between having it and not having it, I ratther have it.

I was also looking at this one:

https://www.amazon.com/ZenBook-UX360CA-UBM1T-13-3-inch-Touchscreen-Convertible/dp/B01HZT6AR0?psc=1&SubscriptionId=AKIAJ4AK2H6SGGIY7SXQ&tag=hawk-future-20&linkCode=xm2&camp=2025&creative=165953&creativeASIN=B01HZT6AR0&ascsubtag=trd-292894185-20

Cheaper and the procesor is better.

I mean, if I ever do some gaming. It would be games like GTA or Elder Scrolls so I can mod it. I barely game as it is anyway.

$800 too expensive, $700 is more reasonable, but still expensive.

https://www.amazon.com/F556UA-AS54-15-6-inch-Full-HD-Laptop-Windows/dp/B01CGGOUJM/

This one is better value. Save another $170, sacrifice touchscreen, 4 gb ram (8 is still plenty), and relatively marginal cpu power (a 7500U outpreforms a 6200U by only 15-20%). Gain a larger screen, better battery, and dvd-drive.

The processor is actually another notch weaker than the one I suggested
