Look's like they've been hard at work trying some make good on some of their bold promises before launch. If it's a free content update for all owners of the game, then sick. I'm glad I only played 5 minutes of this game before dropping it so I can experience it fresh with all this new stuff.

this week apparently. people are speculating it could be as early as tomorrow, or in a few days time. It's not far off.

I might have to get back into it finally.

I played the vanilla game at release and was apparently one of the few that thoroughly enjoyed it. After putting quite a few hours into it I decided to move on to a bunch of other games I had in my backlog with the intent of waiting for a few updates before going back and starting a fresh file. Seems like this might be the time to start that new game, considering this update overhauls the story quite a bit, and I'll finally get to check out base-building, freighters, and ground vehicles. It's gonna be like an entirely brand new game. :-P

From what people are saying, the graphics has been improved so much that it looks like "No Man's Sky 2".

the trailer looks like mostly bullshots, been playing the last few hours and while planet generation is MASSIVELY improved imo (some worlds i've visited are so beautiful that they look hand crafted), the graphics are mostly the same as they've always been. I'm having a lot of fun though, the fact that there is actual content to look forward to makes all the difference. before the updates for me the game was "right, fixed the ship, fixed my tools, explored a few neighbouring planets. game complete pretty much". the only goal on launch was getting to the centre of the universe and there was a big fat NOTHING there, which killed all interest for me. Now you can just live in the universe and don't even have to look towards the centre of the universe (i'm pretty sure there's still nothing there).

It's starting to look great. As someone who still enjoyed the game when it was released, I can't wait to get back into it and start playing again. I probably put 40-50 hours into it when it came out and haven't touched it since, because despite the fact that I enjoyed it, I'm not a fanboy and that shit was definitely bare bones.

Restarting the game from the beginning is way better than picking up where you left off.

And holy hell this game is not even remotely like it was at launch.

Seemed the same to me. Clunkily gather resources, get annoyed at limited inventory slots, deal with obnoxious ui,get teased with a 23 slot multi tool that you can't afford on your starting planet.

Maybe eventually it expands to more, but I can't be bothered to grind again. Especially when the grind just isn't fun. I might give it another try tonight to at least do the first warp, but seems unlikely to have changed why I stopped in the first place
