Seriously, I put up an add to rent my home again, and all but one of the responses have been from women. I was kinda planning on avoiding that if possible. I'm still on the fence in fact as I am seriously considering turning my house into an Air B&B....which would make significantly more money.

I could rent both the downstairs and upstairs seperate, or both together for a larger amount (for large families).

I might even be able to make meals for guests and charge for it, which would be totally awesome. Great way to retire and still make a decent amount per month.

Still, some of the people contacting me to live here seem pretty great. This last lady has two sons (14 and 18), one of which will move out soon, but is a paralegal (same job I had for a very long time). I wouldn't make as much, but....I wouldn't need to work at it either, or upgrade my house, buy new beds etc...before making money.

Kinda almost have my heart set on being a B&B though, me and my wife would have loved to do that together.

B&Bs can be messy due to all the sex you'd have to clean up. Turn it into an inn instead.

I do have plenty of sheats, and of course a washer and dryer. I guess I could just stipulate that guests wash their linens before leaving or something so I don't need to clean up after them. I mean, i'm not really that squimish, I can take soiled sheets and throw em in the washer anyway.

Not sexist, just....it's not as easy/comfortable living with a woman your not married to, as it is with another guy.

All my roomates in my 20's were guys. It's just easier that way.

I totally think women rock, and I love having them for friends, but living with a woman is different. It's just not as easy, and there is a whole different dynamic.

So yeah, was seriously considering just accepting/looking for guy roomates. I'm not though, I was just considering it. I still think it's possible to have a female friend/roomate live here without any problems, just my last experience really made me cautious.

Yes it is, you just don't want to have sex with them <.<

seriously though, if you're getting drama free women what is the issue lol?

Really no issue, except the last one wasn't drama free at all, so i'm a bit hesitant about getting back into a situation like that.

With guys it's pretty easy, and casual with no worries. I think that is possible with a woman as well (sure is when your not living with them), but I'm no longer sure it is if you are living together, at least not as casual.

I'm willing to give it another chance with the right person though, and her having older sons living here is a plus (hopefully removes the whole possible romance thing all together but can still let us act like close friends/family etc).

I treat my friends like family I guess, make them meals etc, care about them. With guys there is no worries about that being some kinda sexual thing or that I'm hitting on them etc. With a woman, just cause I care about you and do things for you, does not mean I'm hitting on you or want a relationship.

I even said that pretty much exactly to my last roomate (not that harsh though), but still didn't matter.

So yeah, I'm open to anything positive, but if I want whoever moves in here to be a friend and hang out alot etc, it's more likely to work if it's a guy.

Back in my 20's my roomates were long term friends and we would hang out every weekend constantly until we moved in together. Doing so just made it that much easier for us to hang out, play video games, MTG, DnD, or decide to go on adventures (went to the second ever burning man etc).

Ideally I'd love to get something like that set up again, it was a blast. Now one of my friends had a sister that wold come over all the time and join in, and that worked out fine, but she didn't live with us.

Anyway, whatever, I'm mostly just laughing/joking at the fact that I was kinda secretly looking for a guy (I did not put that in my post or anything) and just got almost all women responding.

The universe is messing with me:)
