I love the first movie so I gave this one a re-watch (haven't seen it for a really long time) but this one was no where near as good. I don't recall hearing it get as much hate as most sequels though.

There are a few good moments (like the future scenes before Biff's grandkid turns up) but it just sorta went no where. Retreading moments from the original wasn't as fun as it could have been and then it literally ends with a trailer for Part 3 which I totally forgot about.

Meh.

And this plot is completely irrelevant like right away and it's not like the McFly's were doing so hot in the future anyway.

No way. That Hoverboard chase scene is like Disney TV movie levels of bad now. And I can't stress enough that it literally ends with a trailer.

I think I would have liked it more if they stayed in the future more.

Instead you've got Future timeline, Millionaire Biff timeline and then the 50's again. It was trying too much within the one movie I think and I think Biff was in the movie more than Doc.

Nailed it, I love the first two but exactly what you just said is my problem with 2 and 3. I kinda get it in 2 because of the whole sports almanac making Biff rich(old Biff fucks it up for everyone) but Doc "don't fuck with time" Brown goes on to fuck with time because of some pussy in the 3rd.

But yeah, even as a little kid I was like "wait, so you went to the future, came back and now you're gonna fuck with it because your friends son is a pushover?" Made no sense to me and I was like 9 when I saw BttF2.

Doc Brown stopped being unmovable on "Don't Mess with the Timestream" ever since Marty gave him that letter. >_>
