So, I emailed Kuerig and informed them that I had like 40 boxes of their lavaza dark coffee pods, which my wife loved, but that I don't generally drink coffee and would like to trade them in for the black english breakfast tea that I like.

They informed me that they could not take the boxes back (counts as a food item) but would send me 4 free boxes of tea since I have been a loyal customer for so many years.

They arrived yesterday (still had most of 1 box left, but now I have 5!!

I'm gonna try and sell the boxes of coffee on ebay or something, they are normally $15 each, but the tea is only $11, so if I sell them for $10 a pop, it's a good deal for someone, and that almost gets me a box of tea for each of them.

Course it would take me freaking YEARS to go through 40 boxes of tea...but I wouldn't need to order them till I needed em, and would just get about $400 for the coffee instead.

Anyway, I'm in the tea!!! Wooeee for me:)

Already had one cup (well it's a large mug), so I'm all sugared/caffenated up and ready to make many many long posts!!!!

I'm not jelly. I have tons of tea. I did that math and at my current tea drinking rate I have enough tea for the next 20+ years.

22 cups per box, so 88 all together.

I usually have 2 per day or so, but sometimes only 1....i'd say it's about enough for 2 months for me.

And Kuerig makes good tea...don't sell it short. I used to by loose tea from a tea shop nearby, and brew my own, but the Kuerig tea is just as good, and faster/no clean up etc.

If you have not tried it, it's worth it. I do still have backup loose tea, and like 600 backup tea bags (I will never...ever...be without tea).

Still, I prefer my kcup version over the others. I'm used to it's strength etc, so I know exactly how much sugar/creamer to put in for a perfect cup (so delicious).

I'm EXTREMELY picky about my food/drinks and like everything made a certain way/perfectly, and the kcups ensure the exact same strength every time. Makes me a very happy wolfy:)

I don't like honey or honey flavor in my tea. I tried it once when I had no sugar. I was not happy.

I do like honey, just not in my tea, it changes the consistency, even outside of the flavor (my tea is hot and I think it burns the honey a bit...partly messing up the taste).

Perhaps I was just preparing it wrong. I am a self learned tea drinker. I have basic tea down, but adding things like honey to it...well, I should have looked it up online or something I guess.

I love honey nut chex though for instance (about the only cereal I would eat...not that I eat it much), so I like honey, just didn't like it in my tea.

Lol, I like the comercial with him and Mark Wahlburg hehe.

Picard was kinda effeminate for me for a captain, but not bad over all. Couldn't stand Janway though, but I think Cisco was my favorite.

Cool actor over all though:)

I have quite a few boxes, so definitely not jelly.

Jasmine
Lavender/Honey
Dandelion
Peach
Green Tea
Bengal Spice
Orange
Chamomile
Sinus Soother

I don't like lemon honey tea or raspberry either.

One day I intend to try out brown rice tea. I think it's called genmatcha?

Hmm, brown rice tea sounds pretty yummy actually. I'll have to look into that.

I like some of the wood tasting teas I've tried but don't remember what they are called.

I am so......boring...I find something I like (black tea) and just stick with it....I hardly ever experiment.

Sigh I haven't restocked on loose leaf in months. It's time to head to my local tea shop! Might even get some iced tea blends.

I actually never went to a tea shop before moving to Washington 2 years ago. I got fresh ground coffee for my wife (and used a french press), but always just used tea bags in the past myself.

It was really cool actually when I first went, the guy working there knew a ton about teas and recommended a few for me to try, and it's really not that expensive. If Kuerig wasn't so easy, I'd still be using the loose leaf teas (I may go back to it, as it's also much cheaper then the kcups).

That being said, it's going to be really hard giving up being able to raise like a zombie from my bed, stumble into the kitchen with bleary eyes barely able to see, and toss a cub in my keurig and have tea in like 30 seconds.

That extreme consistency is great, but the fact I can sleep walk to tea....that is priceless.

Loose leaf is great. I'll still use tea bags when I need caffeine over anything, but the taste doesn't compare to fresh leaves. With my electric kettle and tea infuser mug it's really easy to have tea in the mornings before work.

This shop sells sampler boxes and those lasted me for months. Berry teas, Earl Grey teas, and Chai blends... Delish!

I am a very giving person, and I give alot away, but that is 40+ boxes at $15.99 each that I paid for them, or basically $700 or so worth of coffee.

In the past, yeah, I would have given them away. I have given away about 5 boxes so far already as well. But the majority of them I would like to get some cash for ($10 each is a good deal). That is still a good $400 for me, and would save someone who orders the same coffee about $200-$300 (more if you are not a platinum club member etc).

It's nice not having to worry about money, makes it very easy to give things away etc, but right now my income is going to be pretty freaking low, and my expenses are not.

The best thing about it being a new day is that I can have more tea and not feel like I shouldn't because I've already had 3 large mugs:)

Since it's free tea, I am not restricting myself to only 2 per day, I get an extra mug a day (I honestly may never go back to 2 now though).

What is the point of life if you can not enjoy tea when you want to?

I think I have had them at sushi houses before (it's not green tea, or the normal teas at chineese place, only very rarely at sushi houses...and I don't like sushi so would only go with my wife rarely).

It's one of the only teas I like without any sugar (let alone milk!).

It has a very earthy/woody flavor, and is quite yummy with nothing added at all.

I really should try and track it down, or should have even asked what it was (I probably did and have since forgot as it's been years).

All the sugar I put in my tea is probably not good for me, but I like about 2 teaspoons of sugar and about a tea to milk ratio of 8:1 (mostly tea, but it's nice and creamy/white).

I do like a strong base tea, or else the sugar/milk over powers it. That is why I like consistency so much, you always get just the right mixture.

I do the same thing when I cook, I experiment over time until I find exactly what I like, and then make it pretty much exactly the same way after that.

I also eat everything individually. Mushrooms, then steak, then potatoes, then brocolli etc.

I am a strange person, but it works for me.
