I think they gave up on that at some point and that's why they're so angry that their fictional objects of affection are being insulted, through when you think about it from their prospective, wouldn't that make it worse, their waifus are whores for everybody by that logic, they say the same things, feel the same way and do the same actions for anybody wohse looking at their screen not just them.
