What up TC you forgot to mention how many children you have and their ages. Thats pretty important for context when you are talking about how other people raise their children.

Also share some things you have found that work better than spanking with your kids when they are acting up as that may help some other parents here since you know how difficult it can be sometimes when they are tired/hungry,overstimulated/etc.

It's human nature to test boundaries, and parents have to be able to control their children. I'm not saying that parents should beat their children by any means, and I think spankings should be used as an absolute last resort, but to say that it should be outlawed is ridiculous.

There is ample evidence that the level of respect that children have for their parents is less today than even one or two generations earlier where corporal punishment was the norm rather than the exception. I do not think that is a coincidence.
