It's worse to accelerate to green or yellow light since then it's harder to stop fast if you need to.

Yeah, most dogs I see driving maintain a reasonable speed and properly slow to a stop at a red light.

My friend who grew up in Jersey but lives in St. Louis now says that people generally drive way slower in that region, and it's rare to go over like 60 even on highways. I kinda just assumed everyone drove like a reckless asshole when it might just be strictly East Coast

Dogs are dichromats, meaning they are just red-green colorblind, not fully. In fact the vast majority of mammals are like this and primates are one of the few exceptions who are trichromats.

I am in the South East US and people drive fast on the highways. But this drive fast to the stop light might just be up north. I could not think of going 60 on the highway . Normally out speed limit is 65 or 70.
