I watched the first season and loved it.

I've become a big Archie fan recently both on the comics side and with this show. The show still stays true to the characters, even though the world is different. Similar to the horror comics they're doing.

if you've ever read Afterlife With Archie, the series that has the characters going through a zombie apocalypse, it's by the same guy behind that.

if you haven't, it's a pretty dark series.

It's a taking the characters and putting them in a mature horror movie world. It's actually amazing, and one issue literally made me get tears, it has tons of heart too.

Archie could literally be replaced entirely with Derek Zoolander. seriously. I kept waiting for him to say "freak gasoline fight accident" or "what is this, a school for ants?"

I've never seen it. Heard good things about it.

(I'd like to clarify my earlier comment: I really enjoyed Riverdale, but you're definitely not supposed to take it 100% seriously.)

Riverdale is definitely self-aware of what it's doing most of the time and plays up to it in a kind of stylish way.

It's a fun show.
