It's a celebrity relationship (pop star and media owner) and they have been together for two years. He was 18 and she 46 when they started dating. Having an age difference is one thing but she could be his mother with a wide margin. I can't help but feel she is a cradle robber and I would object if I had a kid who started dating someone that much older <_<

Most people have trouble understanding inter-generational relationships. As for someone who likes to date men that could be my dad I can understand it.
Sometimes people click better and are on the same wavelength over generations. --- ... Copied to Clipboard!

is this supposed to be a parody of another topic?
because what you're saying adds up to a slippery slope age gap couples like a significantly older man dating a young woman barely 18 is more common for every case of a much older woman with a younger man there's like a dozen of the opposite and aren't there like a bunch of guys who try to date older men with over a decade of age difference? should those be regarded as objectionable too? --- le Moo ... is this supposed to be a parody of another topic? I personally find it objectionable when anyone who is closer to 50 or older date someone who is 18. Is that what you wanted to hear? --- "BalanceLost has a steam-powered PS2 because Sweden don't have electric" - dimeanatrix ... Copied to Clipboard!

Even I have questioned myself and it took so long for me to accept it. And I don't fit in any of the preconceptions people have for them either.

I don't care as long as it's legal and they're both happy.
American society, for example, picked the age of 18 as a marker for legal adulthood for a few reasons. Some of them are: - despite stereotypes, many 18 year olds actually do know wtf they're doing or at least understand most consequences - 21 as a suggestive alternative is and has been determined as laughably excessive by both the courts and society -18 was old enough to get sent to war; so restricting a young adult's sexual rights by a higher age would be hard to justify When recognizing a young adult's rights to be sexually active, it's important to realize that options could include partners who are much older (as they have sexual rights to date anyone legal too). And as I dated my fair share of sugar daddies in my teens, I would be a hypocrite if I told other young people to never consider it rofl. --- Bite me like one of your French rolls. http://www.imageupload.co.uk/images/2017/06/05/flcnpawn.png http://www.imageupload.co.uk/images/2017/06/05/84543589.gif ... A lot of relationships with giant age gaps do not survive anyway. I would just let them have their fun while it lasts. The experience can give quite a bit of insight to both of them.

He/she can then do whatever but I would voice what I fear could happen which is the duty of a parent in my opinion. You should offer advice at least while your child is still living with you. --- "BalanceLost has a steam-powered PS2 because Sweden don't have electric" - dimeanatrix ... Copied to Clipboard!

I think that's usually because unless there's money involved, that hot 40 year old milf just isn't as appealing in 5-10 years or so. Also probably awkward when their 14 year old daughter is now hotter, younger, closer to your age, and legal. --- I do drawings and stuff https://www.fiverr.com/blueblitz ... Copied to Clipboard!

Also, I definitely don't blame you considering relationships like that can often be predatory, and take advantage or control of the younger one through various means. Too be honest I'm not really a fan of relationships like that either, and would probably do the same as you if it were my kid. --- I do drawings and stuff https://www.fiverr.com/blueblitz ...
