Yeah, that was a big appeal to me too. I think a early 90s would be fun though too.

Personally the series for me peaked with Vice City. After that I felt the focus began to shift too much to building out all the random activities and mini games you could do, rather than really trying to improve on the gameplay.

I did enjoy GTAV tho.

I'd enjoy it better if the switching was more seemless and quick.

It was interesting before GTA5 came out, Rockstar sent a bunch of photographers to LA, San Fran and Vegas. One interesting place they sent them out to was Detroit, curious.

There's no point right now. They're making so much money, for the reasons you both said, with at this point minimal dev costs.

I have no doubt they're working on GTA6 in some capacity. But there's no rush right now while GTAV is racking in the big bucks still through online and just sale of the game itself.
