Bush and Trump were and are criticized all the time by the media. Obama was mostly uncriticized. In fact those that did criticize Obama (Republican congressmen, radio talk show hosts, Fox News) were criticized themselves by most of the national media.

Imagine trying to put Bush and Trump in the same league.

Trump is covered by the media all the time because of his own self. Every week Trump does something off the wall from his nonsensical tweets to his childish lashing out.

Bush and Obama did not do this on a scale no where near Trump.

And yet Bush managed to comport himself with respect and respect of his office and the image it projects.

With all his goofy antics he was still smart enough to understand this.

I always see people complaining about the negative coverage that Trump gets in the media. I never see those people ever posting anything at all that's positive. You'd think that instead of just complaining about negative media coverage they'd post positive stuff to counteract all of the negative, but they never do. Why is that?

Because they aren't stupid. You can't elect a stupid person and act surprised when people constantly notice it. Especially when that stupid person goes out of his way to flaunt how dumb he is. lol You're probably right...the media probably wouldn't be as critical of Hillary as they are with Trump...but Hillary also wouldn't be on Twitter at 3am talkin **** and making stupid statements...So I dunno maybe those two things kinda relate to each other.

No president this country has or will ever have will go long without being ripped apart by the media. When you have major media outlets that represent both the far reaches of the left/right spectrum, you live in a society with freedom of press, and your country has a massively diverse population with 300 million+ inhabitants, it's an inevitable outcome.

Be grateful that you live in a country where the president is subject to open criticism and accountability from the people, because there are far more places on this planet than there are not where this isn't allowed at all.

Another difference between the current president and the two before him is no family relationship. Obama through his mother was related to both Bush and Cheney which was another reason she wasn't mentioned very often.

But OT neither of those two cousins came up without the blessings of the system and by antagonizing the media. Lil Bush was appointed by the Supreme Court and Obama received the most money from Wall Street, insurance companies, and defense companies ever so neither could be considered 'outsiders.'

Trump is an ******* and will probably be in our top three worst presidents of all time with Wilson and Buchanan, but the only reason he is president at all is the opponent he had. And never forget Trump's biggest lie- that he would be different. Yeah it was basically what the guy before him said to get in too but twice in a row really sucks for people that voted for the two of them.

I agree. At least he pulled out of the TPP... but unfortunately that was really the last good thing he did

The issue is out of the networks they listed, only one of them is actually conservatively slanted. There is no word on the reporting done by Breitbart, Rush Limbaugh Show, Glenn Beck.

when you start talking about percentages of people, you now also have to consider that basically everyone watches Fox News and practically nobody pays attention to new york times by comparison. You also have to consider that certain people get certain news more at certain times of day, so if more people watch news at 10 PM, and the press coverage is good from 10-11 PM, then the negative coverage that goes on for the rest of the day has less weight.

The statistics posted are good for showing political leanings of the network themselves, but not necessarily a hard amount of coverage.

One also needs to take into consideration that Trump has done straight up bad shit. In one month of him being in his office he got a Navy Seal killed spoilers the navy seal wasn't trans, either.
