The bar was too small so they tucked them in there. A lot of guys do that when it comes to the smaller plates just so they can get them in somewhere. That's one of the reasons the bands were on, besides not being able to get clamps on there.

The guy was doing trap bar deadlift on the higher handle, which from what I have heard makes the lift easier than a conventional deadlift.

I am actually doing the same thing, putting smaller weights between the plates since my gym doesn't have smaller plates to make small increments.

I'm actually at 380 lbs on my conventional. I have been adding 5 lbs a week since 365 lbs so hopefully I can get 400 lbs in a month at my current weight which is 183 lbs.

The form was fine. People think you need to have your back perfectly straight when you deadlift, but this is only true in the beginning. Once you have a strong back, core, glutes, hips, etc you can bend your upper back, and sometimes bend the lower back slightly if you need to. This is true usually in the high 300 lbs as long as you do enough back and core accessory work, but definitely in the 400 lbs you can bend your back.

who cares, anyone can deadlift high numbers b/c you're using way more muscle groups that are usually fairly conditioned from everyday life, anyway

benching actually takes dedication. Weaklings will usually focus on deadlift/squats b/c they're not strong.

i don't have to do shit. my specialty is benching. i don't give a fuck how much someone can d/l or squat because benching is much harder and much more respectable

I mean come on, when was the last time you heard a couple of normies bragging about how much they could fucking squat or d/l or curl lol??? no, it's always bench

neither, ur both wrong. i started incorporating squats in my main workouts, but since i don't give them their own day obviously i don't work them as hard as my upper body. they're still not chicken leg weak tho

and i've always done some sort of core exercise in my workouts, just usually not deadlifts b/c they're pointless

Wtf, I've never seen plates like that before. They're gold and they're the size of 45 lbs plates.

Is that vid mislabled? The announcer even says 82.5 kg

Actual powerlifting associations will use special plates that aren't normally used in gyms so they know the weights are more accurate.

Those are probably 40 - 50 kilos since that's probably the unit of measurement they use.

except i still benched 230 lbs of literal weight off of my own body, against gravity, three whole times, bouncing or not. not a single person on this board has since rivaled such a feat, despite it being years ago

get on my level, and i can still bench 200+ lbs i proved it when i did in my workout it 2 days ago so i'm feeling pretty good bout that

but he's not a poster on this board, lol, and he prob juices, and even if he were stronger i'm still like an inch taller so my ego is satisfied either way
