Have you seen the "Fireball" Ride before?

The 18 y/o who lost his life at a horrifying accident at an Ohio State Fair was Tyler Jarrell, who had just enlisted in the Marines FIVE days ago!!

The Ohio native was identified as the man who was killed after he and 6 others, including his 19 y/o girlfriend, were on the FIREBALL ride..

He was thrown into the air when part of the amusement ride snapped and came down such such force that killed him upon impact as 5 others were seriously injured...

Tyler had just posted a photo on his Facebook page with his marine uniform on and his decision to enlist came a month after graduating from Franklin Heights High School

6 of the 7 victims on that ride with him have also been identified but survived the accident..

36 y/o Tamika Dunlap, 42 y/o Russell Franks, 22 y/o Jacob Andrews, 18 y/o Jennifer Lambert, 19 y/o Abdihakim Husseim and his girlfriend, 19 y/o Kezia Lewis were all injured after the accident

Kezia had just learned of his death when she woke up at the hospital and is in critical conditioin as she's undergone 2 operations after damaging her pelvis, ankles and ribs.

The Ohio Department of Agriculture gave The Fireball passing marks during an inspection just a few HOURS before the crash.

The pair were at the carnival after a difficult day for Kezia who was at her grandfather's funeral.

She's a University of Cincinnati Journalism student who finished her 2nd year at the school and has been with Tyler with one year after they worked together at McDonalds for 2 years and was where they met.

Kezia's mother was the one who had to tell her the devastating news a she kept asking where he was..

The Marine Corps Recruiting South Columbus Ohio page even posted a photo of Tyler on congratulating him and wrote "Give him one! Tyler Jarrell is the first senior from Franklin Heights high school to enlist into the United States Marine Corps this year. I'm proud to call him my brother. #FranklinHeights #Marines"

Tyler was also involved in the local police force as he explored the possibility of being a police officeer as well.

Sharone Payne, his former McDonalds Boss also posted a photo of him to describe him as a good kid who and loved working there.

A Woman who was on that ride stated it was very normal until it started shaking really bad and suddenly the woman next to her flew off when the machine snapped. She became overwhelmed with tears while describing the scene and said "And then the dude hit the ground. He wasn't breathing. None of them was, it was like 5 people. Nobody was breathing and then they came and tried to give him CPR but nothing was happening"

A young boy filmed the ride and released the video to show what had happened as everyone screamed the moment the accident happen and saw people falling off of the ride..

The fair is remained closed while an investigation is taking place...

Unfortunately this is the risk you take by using these rides. Although safety is important it's not a guarantee as these rides are machines at the end of the day and can fail at anytime.

The Department of Agriculture? Are they actually trained to inspect thrill rides?

It wasn't all fun and games... And, tbh, I've never really trusted those rides. As I've gotten older, I don't even like the Ferris Wheel.

A guy my dad worked with used to help put the carnival rides together when it would come to town, when he was a teenager. They'd just round up local youths and pay them a little money. He said something along the lines of never riding on any of them ever again after knowing what he knows now. It was done rather lazily.

Not really a Marine at least until basic training starts.

As to the poll question, I'm sure I've probably seen one at a carnival. Plus I've been on the much larger version with outward facing seats at Cedar Point.
